Activating prior knowledge is the key to ensuring student learning…and getting them excited about the unit! In this lesson, students will share what they already know (or THINK they know) about the Oregon Trail and think about what questions they have going forward. Then, they’ll read a short but comprehensive article that reviews the topic of the Oregon Trail, giving them a good base of knowledge from which to start their learning journey.
