About Us

Mr. Haertling

Mr. Haertling is a 7th grade World Geography teacher and exercise and adventure enthusiast. He and his wife, Sheila and daughter, Dru, and their two dogs, Thumb and Kricket, live in Jackson, Missouri.  His hobbies include biking, weightlifting, climbing, hunting, watching Dru play basketball, being active in his church, drinking lots of coffee – and of course traveling and learning!  He has travelled the world – to places including Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Peru and Europe – and gets “pumped” about sharing his experiences with his students.

In the summer of 2008, Brad and his father climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa.

Mrs. Reyna

Mrs. Reyna teaches 7th grade Foreign Language Introduction and 8th-9th grade Spanish 1.  She is an avid traveler, linguist, and trivia buff.  She lives in Jackson with her husband and black lab, Rubi.  Her hobbies include reading, playing Jeopardy, watching sports (especially figure skating) and traveling.  Her travels have taken her to South Korea, the Middle East, and all over Europe.  She enjoys learning as many languages as she can and sharing them with her students!

Mrs. Reyna took an awesome trip in the summer of 2015.  Some of the highlights included visiting the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey…Istanbul 2015
