Transportation on the Trail

Comparing and contrasting travel by wagon with travel by bike is a great way to introduce the Pedaling Pioneer to your class!  In this lesson, students will analyze the similarities and differences between these two modes of transportation.  Then, they’ll read about windwagons – a unique and little-known invention of the Oregon Trail – and show what they’ve learned by writing a constructed response.
