The journey begins!

With bike boxes packed and ready to go, I headed out on my journey!  I’m traveling with my old pal/videographer/”personal protection” Danny Rees, who you’ll see in some of my videos.  From St. Louis, we flew to Dallas, connected in Tokyo, and finally landed in Hanoi, Vietnam.  A tiny, baby-sized hiccup like mechanical problems with the plane that was supposed to carry us over the Pacific made us miss our connecting flight in Tokyo, but that meant we got to spend a night in a swanky hotel in Tokyo (Narita).  We had an actual rocket ship* in our room!  There was also a rice maker, because who doesn’t need a midnight snack of freshly-made rice?  The next day we finally made it to Vietnam, and so did our bikes!  Here we go, folks…thanks for following along on our journey!

*We did not have a rocket ship in our room.  It was a space-y toilet.
